A dirt track road in Singapore about 1960

A picture of a collection of huts in Singapore with animals and cars.

This seems to be a village or centre away from the busy and cosmopolitan city of Singapore and is possibly how the local people lived and worked. The road is a simple dirt track, and there are goats wandering the streets. A few cars are parked and the huts seem to be set up as shops – at least I can see some boards with business names above some of the huts so I assume that is there function. Rather a different view of Singapore to the city pictures.

Part of a series taken by an RAF officer serving at the local RAF base at Seletar.
