Cinema in Singapore – early 1960s

A cinema on the corner of a street in Singapore. The film advertised is ‘Trapeze‘ with Burt Lancaster, Gina Lollobrigida and Tony Curtis which was made in 1956, so this picture was obviously taken after that. These days, a photo could be fairly accurately dated by a cinema billboard, but in the 1950s and 60s films would stay on the bill for a lot longer than now, and would be in circulation for several years, so I think this picture is actually from the early 1960s rather than 1956.
