Ships and Cars at Docks probably late 1950s
A colour slide of a number of sailing boats tied up at a quayside with cars and a lorry parked. Although I don't know the location I suspect it would be easily recognisable to anyone who lives in the area so can I ask anyone who views this photo to share it as widely as possible? In fact, that applies to any photo on the site because that way we can build up some better information about location and activities in the pictures.

Left-hand drive cars, Dutch-looking architecture, but the registration numbers on the fishing vessels give it away; Volendam, Holland.
