Bus crossing bridge to Italy at Ponta Tresa

This is a picture of a bus crossing the boarder between Switzerland and Italy by using the bridge at Ponta Tresa in about 1961. At the end of the bridge, flying a Swiss flag, is the checkpoint which the bus had to pass through in order to cross the border.

This is the first of a whole series of Kodachrome slides I've acquired which show views all over Switzerland and are generally of very good quality. Although not all the slides are stamped with a date, the few that are have dates between 1961 and 1963, and I believe this one to be around those dates.
