Waiting for a boat?

A woman poses at the side of a lake in this somewhat fuzzy and very colour cast 35mm slide. I managed to remove a lot of the colour cast during the scan but the overall marking and dirt wasn't removed by the scanner's dust removal software. Actually, that's not surprising since there are some pretty big lumps ! The overall fuzzyness could be the result of the camera not being properly focused, but since it's all over the frame I suspect that it is simply a not very good camera/lens.

As to the location, there was nothing on the slide which gave any clues so we need to go by the picture itself. It could be in the lake district in north west England, or one of the lochs in Scotland.
