A Set of Christmas Presents from Christmas 1950

This is one of those pictures which on the face of it is fairly uninteresting. It's just a pile of bits and pieces under an occasional table. But a closer look reveals that it is probably Christmas - there looks like tinsel or decoration on the right hand side of the picture. Also, zooming in on the book laying under the table I found the title is 'Better Homes and Gardens Handyman's Book'. A quick search on google reveals that this was produced several years running in the 1950s, but each year had a different cover. I found that this cover was on the 1951 edition which probably makes this picture Christmas 1950.
