Portrait of a Woman in the 1950s

This is a portrait of a well to do woman sitting in a living room. I suspect it is England because the clock on the mantlepiece looks typically English, and although there is no date on the slide mount I would suspect it is 1950s for two reasons. First the clothes she is wearing look 1950s and also the slide is a red border Kodachrome which are typically 1940s to 1950s.
